The Standard Double Room is the entry-level room at L7 Gangnam by Lotte Hotel. As of the date of writing, the published tariff for this room is ₩495,000 including taxes. However, through the LOTTE HOTELS & RESORTS official app, weekday rates can be booked for approximately ₩180,000 including taxes, offering a significantly more affordable option. Additionally, third-party booking platforms such as Agoda, HotelsCombined, and Hotels.com frequently feature special promotions, allowing travelers to secure this room at even lower rates.

⚠️ Important Update for Travelers in South Korea: As of March 29, 2024, under the Act on the Promotion of Resource Saving and Recycling (Resource Recycling Act), hotels and accommodations with 50 rooms or more are no longer allowed to provide complimentary single-use items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors.

This means that no matter which hotel you stay at in South Korea, you must bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and razor, or purchase them as paid items at the hotel. Alternatively, these essentials can also be conveniently bought at nearby convenience stores or retail shops.

This update is crucial for anyone planning to travel in South Korea or stay at hotels, helping you avoid unexpected fees or inconveniences during your trip.

Don’t worry—essential in-room amenities such as disposable slippers, refillable shampoo, body wash, and body lotion, along with facial tissues, toilet paper, cotton swabs, cotton pads, and combs, are provided free of charge for all guests.

When you arrive at your room, simply tap the key card—issued at check-in—against the black electronic lock panel located just above the door handle. You’ll hear a soft “click” as the lock disengages. Then, press down the lever handle and push the door inward firmly to enter the room.

Once inside the entryway, you’ll need to insert your room key card into the power activation slot on the right-hand wall near the door. This step is required to activate all in-room systems, including lighting, power outlets, air conditioning, and ventilation. Without inserting the card, the room remains fully powered off.

As you step into the entry area, the first thing you’ll notice is the Open Wardrobe section—a signature feature of the Standard Double Room at L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotel. This open-style closet is thoughtfully equipped with hangers, bathrobes, a luggage rack, complimentary disposable slippers, a digital safe, a mini refrigerator, an electric kettle, tea bags, disposable paper cups, and two bottles of complimentary mineral water. A fire extinguisher is also provided for safety compliance.

Directly across from the Open Wardrobe, you’ll find a full-length wall-mounted mirror, perfectly positioned for checking your outfit, hair, or makeup before heading out. This thoughtful detail reflects L7 Gangnam’s focus on modern functionality and urban traveler convenience, making it easy to get ready with confidence for business meetings, events, or nights out in Gangnam.

As you pass through the open wardrobe area, you’ll find the bathroom space designed for both functionality and comfort. Inside, there’s a washbasin, a toilet equipped with a bidet, and a separate glass-door shower booth.

The vanity area features a large illuminated makeup mirror mounted on the wall. On the countertop, you’ll find refillable hand wash, disposable paper cups, a shower cap, cotton swabs, cotton pads, and a comb neatly arranged. Beneath the sink, two large bath towels and a Tefal Studio Dry Plus hairdryer (HV5431K0, 1520W) are provided for guest use. Despite its 1520W power rating, the Tefal dryer delivers performance comparable to 1900W models, offering strong airflow for quick drying and styling with minimal hair damage—an ideal convenience for busy mornings.

The toilet includes a built-in bidet system, and a toilet paper holder is installed conveniently on the wall.

The shower booth is an independent glass-enclosed area featuring a handheld showerhead, refillable shampoo, refillable body wash, refillable body lotion, and a bath sponge.Originally, the hotel provided Malin+Goetz amenities, but these have recently been replaced with DEPAYSMO products—a premium bathroom amenities brand jointly developed by HOTEL LOTTE Co., Ltd. and COSMAX, INC., a renowned K-beauty manufacturer. DEPAYSMO products are infused with a sophisticated blend of yuzu, bergamot, black tea, patchouli, vetiver, and musk, offering a refreshing and luxurious scent profile. Made with gentle, non-irritating ingredients, these amenities provide excellent cleansing and hydration for all skin types.

Please note that Standard Double Rooms at L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotel do not include bathtubs—all units feature shower-only bathrooms for a more modern and space-efficient layout.

L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotel: Standard Double Room – Sleeping Area

As you walk past the bathroom, you’ll immediately step into the sleeping area, designed with a clean, modern aesthetic that reflects L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotel’s signature lifestyle concept. The Standard Double Room features a double bed large enough to comfortably accommodate two adults. The linens are crisp, freshly laundered, and provide a pleasantly soft yet firm texture that hugs your body just right — perfect for a relaxing rest after a warm shower.

On each side of the bed, there are two bedside tables. The left table holds a telephone and a facial tissue box, while the right table features an alarm clock and a TV remote control. Inside the drawer, you’ll find a built-in smartphone charger for added convenience.

The alarm clock provided is the Mooas Real Wood LED Rectangular Clock, a once-popular model now discontinued and hard to find as new. Its soft wooden texture and minimalist LED display add a warm, cozy touch to the room’s atmosphere.

Next to the bed, a floor-to-ceiling window lets in plenty of natural light and offers a refreshing city view. The window can also be opened for ventilation, which is a rare and welcome feature in urban Seoul hotels. Beside the window, a comfortable armchair and side table create a perfect nook for enjoying a cup of coffee, reading, or simply unwinding.

Depending on the room category, guests can choose between a City View overlooking Teheran-ro’s skyline or a Seonjeongneung View, which faces the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Seonjeongneung Royal Tombs — the resting place of King Seongjong, Queen Jeonghyeon, and King Jungjong of the Joseon Dynasty. While Seonjeongneung View rooms are slightly more expensive, they offer a serene and culturally rich outlook, quite distinct from the bustling cityscape. For those unaware of the historical background, it may simply appear as a tranquil, tree-lined park in the middle of the city.

At the foot of the bed, a work desk and stool are neatly positioned against the wall. Above the desk, a 43-inch LED TV provides access to Netflix streaming (personal login required) as well as most Korean terrestrial and cable channels.

One of the standout reasons why L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotel consistently earns high guest satisfaction is that every room comes equipped with a built-in air purifier as a standard feature—a rarity even among upscale hotels in Seoul.

In the Standard Double Room, guests will find the Samsung BlueSky 3100 Air Purifier (Model: AX033B310GGD), designed to deliver a noticeably cleaner and fresher in-room environment. This advanced model effectively removes 99.999% of ultrafine dust particles as small as 0.01㎛, ensuring optimal air quality even in the heart of busy Gangnam. Additionally, its antibacterial filter technology suppresses 99.9% of bacterial growth, maintaining a hygienic and comfortable atmosphere throughout your stay.

For travelers sensitive to air quality or simply seeking a healthier indoor environment, this feature alone makes L7 Gangnam by LOTTE Hotel one of the best lifestyle hotels in Seoul for comfort, wellness, and peace of mind.

💡 Pro Tip: For the best comfort, request a Seonjeongneung View room when booking — the serene royal tomb view adds a calming contrast to Seoul’s energy. Don’t forget to open the window for fresh air and enjoy a cup of coffee in the armchair while watching the city come alive.
